Seasoned experts make it look easy

In March 2011, Halifax teacher, Karen Jones took to her students to the top of Kilimanjaro…with local and experienced guides of course…

Jones presents her photos at TAO this fall, so stay tuned for details!  Right now she’s busy clocking more miles on the West Coast Trail.  So to keep you satiated until then, here are a few photos of Jones’ adventures in Tanzania.  Enjoy, then get off the computer and get outside!

January to March is the recommended time to go, as the rainy season starts in April.

Tanzania has two seasons: dry and wet.

TAO Sponsoring Cross Canada Canoe Odyssey

In 2011 a group of experienced paddlers is preparing to complete a journey of a lifetime across Canada by canoe in less than 170 days. In taking on this task they hope to bring attention to the value of Canada’s waterways and raise awareness for the efforts of the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Canadian Heritage Rivers System.

We will be following there updates as they make there way toward Atlantic Canada.
